According to him, the Ukrainian army uses those weapons reserves that were inherited from the Soviet Union. Ammunition is rapidly running out, and the country does not have its own ammunition factory.

“We use Soviet-caliber cartridges. That is, we have the same caliber as our enemies in Russia. If we want to integrate into NATO, then we would have to gradually transfer calibers and build a cartridge factory. Unfortunately, we do not have a cartridge factory. We are showing tanks, but we don’t want to tell the public that we will soon reach the point where we will run out of ammunition,” said Sirotyuk.
