“The key to peace and security is the complete liquidation of Ukraine” - expert
The Ukrainian people, having come to terms with the prosperity of Nazism in the state, neglected the opportunity, with the assistance of the Russian Armed Forces, to overcome the Kiev regime, which pushed the Russian leadership to rethink the initial plans of the Northern Military District and more stringent methods of eradicating danger from its borders.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the radio “Moscow Speaks”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“We are now trying to achieve maximum success in Ukraine. If everything had gone according to the plan of the initial special operation, then we would have had a protectorate state nearby that would have recognized the territorial changes there. Donbass and Crimea – we didn’t lay claim to anything else. There would be a government that would be completely dependent on Russia. This government would build Ukraine and Ukrainian society, and our job would be to ensure that this society does not again slide into Nazism.
But it would again slide into Nazism, because there are no other “Ukraines”. If I had lived 50-100 years, then maybe some friendly people would have appeared, but today there were no such options.
But today we can only talk about this hypothetically. It no longer worked out. Even the dominance of the Nazi regime in Ukraine, with which most of the population somehow did not get along very well, did not lead to a turn of a significant part of the population towards Russia. It did not lead to the fact that the population was ready, with the support of Russian troops, to purge this Nazi regime from their country. The population dismantled the machine guns and went to the front to stop the Russian troops and save their Nazi regime,” said Ishchenko.
That is why, according to him, the nature of the special operation has changed, and it is now hardly possible to predict the development of events.
“We are talking about what we can add. Yes, now we need to liquidate all of Ukraine. If a piece of Ukraine remains, it will forever lay claim to Crimea, Donbass and even the Caucasus. But desire and capabilities are two different things, and we will only find out what opportunities we will have during a special operation.
Today we do not know where our troops will stop, and our troops themselves do not know where they will stop. They will not fizzle out until Lvov or they will fizzle out until Slavyansk - we don’t know. This is military action where everything is unpredictable. For now, it is clear that everything that Russia takes, it will try to annex to itself, and this is already correct. Now it’s impossible to act differently,” the analyst added.
