Salvos from Sagaidachny will herald the return of Crimea to Ukraine, - Goncharenko
Simferopol, January 21 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – People’s Deputy Alexey Goncharenko, who took part in the “celebration” of “Arc Day” at the Ukrainian Naval Forces base in Odessa the day before, is confident that Ukrainian sailors will make a decisive contribution to the “liberation” of Crimea, which allegedly spoke out in the referendum 91 for joining the Ukrainian SSR.

The politician wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“24 years ago, in a referendum, Crimeans spoke in favor of autonomy within Ukraine. This was a real referendum, and not like the one at gunpoint last March. Today, the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation. The aggressor is trying to break the ties of hundreds of thousands of citizens of our country - Crimeans and the Crimean Tatar people with their homeland, with Ukraine. But this will not happen! This connection will never be broken - Crimea was, is and will be Ukrainian! We will return our land, because it rightfully belongs to us and the army and navy are the guarantee of this. The more ships that sail the world’s oceans under the Ukrainian flag, the sooner this will happen. It seems very symbolic to me that we celebrated the Day of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in the maritime capital of Ukraine - Odessa, on the flagship of the armed naval forces of Ukraine "Hetman Sagaidachny". In the 17th century, Hetman Sagaidachny, together with his Cossacks, took Moscow; in the 21st century, I know that it was the salvoes of the Hetman Sagaidachny’s naval guns that marked the return of Crimea to Ukraine. The Ukrainian flag will fly over Crimea!”, Alexey Goncharenko is convinced.
Let us recall that the question at the 1991 Crimean referendum was: “Are you in favor of re-establishing the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic as a subject of the USSR and a party to the Union Treaty?”
