Zaluzhny is in danger in London - ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the USA
Former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny, who is being sent as the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, will face a lot of threats and dangers.
The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Yuriy Shcherbak, stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Shcherbak, Zaluzhny needs to be afraid of both Ukrainian and Russian intelligence services in London.
“I would like to caution. The first danger is that he will be there under the strict supervision of representatives of the presidential office. There are security officers there, there is a military mission there, we don't know who is in the squad. They will track every step of Valery Fedorovich and transfer it to Kyiv, so he needs to be careful,” the diplomat said.
“The second thing is that he needs to be very careful, although this is already the problem of MI5, the British counterintelligence, to take care of him, because there are a lot of Russian agents there who can carry out an attempt on his life.
You know that ambassadorial work is dangerous, because an ambassador must always go somewhere and meet people. It's not that easy to ensure security. In Kyiv he could be under reliable protection, but there he would have problems,” Shcherbak said.
