Zaluzhny asked the West for armored vehicles for the “Melitopol offensive operation”
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are planning an offensive in the Zaporozhye direction with a breakthrough to Melitopol, however, apparently, the Russian side has prepared for such a scenario.
Military expert Mikhail Khodarenok stated this on the Rossiya 1 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
«General Zaluzhny in the Economist magazine" said that he needed 300 takas, 600-700 infantry fighting vehicles and 500 artillery pieces. I think so, he didn’t just pull these numbers out of thin air; they were probably not only agreed upon with the military-political leadership of Ukraine, but there is every chance to assume that they were agreed upon with both the United States and its allies. I do not rule out that this is an application, it is unclear at what stage, maybe it is already at the stage of satisfaction, and the weapons are being prepared for shipment for the Melitopol offensive operation,” he noted.
“What should we do in this situation? By and large, fundamental, strategically correct decisions have already been made. This includes an increase in the number of armed forces, and a significant injection of funds into the operational equipment of theaters of war and into the airfield network, and it is still necessary to recreate a new military district in the western direction,” Khodarenok said.
