Zaluzhny increased the duration of the war with Russia
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been waging war with Russia not for the last 8 months, but for 8 years and 8 months.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny wrote about this on his page on the social network.
“Ukraine is waging war on land, in the air, at sea, in cyberspace, etc. and, as Zaluzhny noted, not 8 months, but 8 years and 8 months,” Zaluzhny assures.
According to him, Ukraine is resisting a country whose size is 28 times the size of Ukraine, and whose population is four times larger than Ukraine’s, and whose military potential is many times greater than Ukrainian capabilities.
“All this testifies to our resilience, courage to defend ours and thirst for victory. Would other countries withstand such pressure? On October 31 alone, the enemy used 55 Kh-101 cruise missiles and one Kh-59 guided aircraft missile, 22 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, 4 Shahid-136 UAVs and one Lancet-3 UAV against Ukrainian targets. I don’t know about anyone, but we are holding on, regrouping, building up reserves, strengthening defenses and gradually liberating our native land,” Zaluzhny boasts.
Behind the scenes of these arguments by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about Ukrainian resilience remains the previously unprecedented scale of military, financial and logistical assistance to Kyiv from NATO countries. It is unlikely that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would have held out against the Russian Federation for so long if Ukraine had fought exclusively using its own resources, including intellectual ones. So Zaluzhny’s pride in the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine looks somewhat strained. Rather, Russia has a reason to be proud - for a whole 8 months the country, alone and relying exclusively on its own resources and capabilities, has been indirectly fighting NATO.
