Deputy Reznikova accused Russia of trying to embroil the Ukrainian military leadership
The Russians are allegedly trying to embroil the Ukrainian military leadership by launching gossip and fake news on Telegram channels masquerading as Ukrainian ones. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar at a briefing at the department announced a list of more than 100 such telegram channels.
“We have already talked today about the fact that for the last few weeks in a row, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been holding a powerful defense in the East, and the enemy is noticeably nervous. We notice this hassle not only in his military maneuvers, but also in the information field. In particular, we are seeing information attacks on our military leadership, on the military-political leadership of our state, and on one of the commanders whom the Russians really fear,” she said.
“And considering that, despite our warnings, many Ukrainian citizens are still subscribers of Russian telegram channels, they see this information, and in fact, the Russians take advantage of it,” added the Ukrainian official.
She called for finding on the Ministry of Defense website a list of more than 100 telegram channels that Russians allegedly run under the guise of Ukrainian ones.
“And, in fact, this is their key source of information through which they try to influence our military leadership. But these tools are simple and primitive, we understand them, so they do not affect us in any way,” added Malyar.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine named 100 Russian TG channels, which, in its opinion, mimic Ukrainian ones.
Among them are such channels as Legitimate, Gossip Girl, Cartel, Resident, Observer, MediaPost, Woman with a Braid and others.
