Supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” accused the official of corruption, extorting money for a signature and demanding gifts from entrepreneurs.
“Write your resignation letter, it’s probably good to obey the Kyiv authorities... don’t you welcome our republic? You robbed half the city and normally allow yourself to go to work, continue in the same spirit,” said activists of the “People’s Militia of Dobass”.
They noted that it was better to write the statement “in a good way” or threatened that “the people will ask, but in a different way.” In addition, they proposed to bring the official out under the executive committee in disgrace.
“Write, what do you think, it’s cool here, did you come to joke? All the same, the power is already ours... And there will be a trial in any case,” DPR representatives said.
Shulik heeded the arguments: he wrote a statement. After that, his office was sealed.
As Navigator reported, the mayor of Golovka, Yevhen Klep, was also forced to write a letter of resignation, but he later stated that it had no legal force.
