The deputy head of the Dnepropetrovsk region got burned while reselling body armor for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukrainian police caught the former deputy head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional administration selling humanitarian aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Military and Defense Sphere, the Office of the Prosecutor General exposed and reported suspicion to a territorial defense volunteer for the sale of humanitarian aid (Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the message says.

According to the investigation, the official, who previously held the position of deputy chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, was away from the line of contact with the armed forces of the Russian Federation and was involved in the sale of humanitarian aid. He sold bulletproof vests and other personal protective equipment, which came from Europe free of charge and were intended for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The official was exposed directly during the sale of humanitarian aid.

According to Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, 247 criminal proceedings related to the theft of humanitarian aid are being investigated in Ukraine.
