An official whose relatives received Russian passports was appointed deputy head of the SBU
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky made another scandalous appointment.
So, today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Zelensky’s decree has appeared on the appointment of Sergei Naumyuk as deputy chairman of the SBU
It is noteworthy that in 2022, Naumyuk applied for the position of director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). His candidacy passed the first stage and was admitted to an interview at the selection committee, where interesting details about his relatives in Lugansk were revealed.
“In 2015, for certain domestic reasons, my father and brother were forced to obtain Russian passports. Later they abandoned them.
This information concerns the private life of adults, and I would not like to discuss it further so as not to endanger my relatives. I provided the Commission with detailed information on this issue,” said Naumyuk, whose words at the commission were quoted by the Judicial-Legal Gazeta.
However, now, according to him, his relatives are in the United States.
At the same time, the candidate’s brother, as one of the commission members pointed out, “worked as the head of a department of the Russian bank Otkrytie” and he worked in various positions, including the head of the department of Petrokommertsbank, which was the servicing bank of LUKoil.
“Indeed, before his departure to the USA, my brother worked at the private banking institution Otkritie PJSC in Moscow. Before that, in 2015, due to the crisis in the banking sector, he lost his job in Kyiv. His acquaintances in international banking circles recommended him for the position of Director of the Lending Department.
At that time, the bank was owned by businessman Vadim Belyaev, who then, due to a conflict with the Putin regime, lost the bank and emigrated abroad. My brother also worked at Petrocommercebank.
The brother currently lives in the United States and is fully integrated into American society. He will donate to Ukrainian interests. He attends anti-Putin public events in the USA, I even brought photos and video materials,” Naumyuk said in his defense.
However, his candidacy for the post of NABU director was not approved.
