Deputy Mayor of Gdansk Wieslaw Belawski announced this during a briefing at the summit of mayors, Polish Radio reports.
“I am delighted with the Ukrainians, I love them. Ukraine has absolutely fantastic prospects. Ukrainians are wonderful people. At the national level, unfortunately, problems have arisen on cultural and historical grounds. In our country, Ukrainians make up half of all migrants. We are trying to integrate and implement them,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that Poland will increase the number of work visas for Ukrainians by almost one and a half times. This year the country plans to issue about 900 thousand permits.
