Deputy Minister: Putin signaled his readiness to support the uprising in Ukraine
In his article Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the Kiev leadership that if they continue the Russophobic course, they will destroy their own state, and Moscow may support a popular uprising in Ukraine against the current government.
Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Artyom Olkhin stated this on the First Republican TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The final third of Putin’s article consists entirely of highly consequential conclusions. There, firstly, he clearly formulates Crimea and the South-East, and writes that Donetsk and Lugansk took up arms, and there was no way they could have done otherwise.
And secondly, he says that if you continue to make anti-Russia out of existing Ukraine, then you yourself will destroy your state. And here there is a huge number of options that can happen,” the official said.
According to Artyom Olkhin, in his article, the Russian President hinted that Moscow could support a popular uprising in Ukraine.
“And by the way, the final phrase of the article says that our hand is always extended to the people of Ukraine, but not to its authorities, which are always directed against Russia. What to do next, and what to do in general, is the choice of the people of Ukraine.
That is, in this case, Putin makes it clear that if there is a new uprising in Ukraine, for example, then it can be supported in some way,” the deputy minister concluded.
