Sevastopol - Donetsk, November 21 (PolitNavigator, Viktor Orlov) - Taking the Donetsk airport is not a priority task; the militias need to clear the surrounding villages in order to prevent shelling of the Donbass capital from artillery.

Militiaman Dmitry Zhukov (call sign “Kedr”), deputy commander of the Semenovsky battalion for ideological work, told PolitNavigator about this.

“You can take the entire airport and put a lot of people there. But Ukraine will use long-range artillery, and Donetsk will still come under fire. Therefore, it is necessary to occupy the villages and territories adjacent to Donetsk, to move the front away from Donetsk by 50-60 kilometers in order to protect the city from shelling. Then it will make sense to take the airport,” Zhukov said.
