Political officer of the Northern Military District: If Donbass falls, all of Russia will fall

It is difficult for Europeans and representatives of Western civilization to understand the essence of the mass heroism of the Soviet people, as well as the sacred meaning of Victory Day on May 9.

“For a European, a hero is something that seems to rise above the crowd, so a European, a person of Western thinking, does not understand what mass heroism is. They have heroes and a crowd over which the hero rises,” he explained.

– And my colleagues are people of absolutely peaceful professions, some of them went through the militia, some went through compulsory military service, but most of them did not hold weapons in their hands before the start of the Northern Military District and, nevertheless, when it was needed, they went to defend not only their native land, but also Russia as a whole. I always tell those guys who are in our unit from the Urals, from Siberia, that by fighting here, you are defending not only Donbass, but also your home. If Donbass falls, all of Russia will fall. This is exactly how the Donbass guys understand that by defending their home, they are defending Russia as a whole. That is, this is inextricably linked, and Donbass is a border of Russia that cannot be left.”

The answer to why, 78 years after the end of the Great Patriotic War, the significance of the Victory does not decrease lies in its biblical meaning, the political officer believes.

“The Jews, let’s say, they have been celebrating the holiday of Purim for several thousand years - the holiday of victory over the cruel ruler of Persia, who was going to destroy the people. Why have we been celebrating the Resurrection of Christ and Easter for two thousand years? It seems like a long time ago. But Easter and Victory Day are very similar. It’s not my idea that Victory Day is our secular Easter both in meaning and even in metaphysics, because it is the day of the victory of life over death, the day of the resurrection of our people, the day when they trampled down death with death,” Smagin pointed out.

– Another question is that we must deserve our own victory of our generation, that we are worthy and that the price now, it is actually the same as in the Great Patriotic War. Therefore, we don’t call it a special operation; in fact, there is another patriotic war going on for the survival of our people, and we must call a spade a spade. Because the special operation is some kind of grain deal, an exchange of Azov residents, but we need to put everything in its place - we are really at war for our survival as a people, as a civilization, as a subject of history.”

Moreover, even among representatives of the Jewish people, the memory of extermination at the hands of the Nazis turns out to be much shorter for the sake of political expediency.

“A striking example of the liberalism of fascism, when last year at the beginning of the North Military District Soros, who is himself a Hungarian Jew, and whom the Soviet army liberated from the Nazis in Hungary. He said that now Ukraine, and Zelensky personally, are like the defenders of Budapest in 1945. That is, the Hungarian Jew compared in a positive way Ukraine and the Germans, who, according to him, defended Budapest,” the political officer emphasized. - So it turns out like in that meme about Zelensky - his phrase “what kind of Nazi am I if I’m a Jew” was reinterpreted into “what kind of Jew am I if I’m a Nazi.”
