The Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine humiliatingly curried favor with a Polish correspondent
Ukraine should learn from the Poles how to confront Russia, which “has occupied Poland more than once over the past 300 years.”
Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos stated this during the conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We also studied the experience of Poland, there has recently been great developments and large funding from the state for the process of creating territorial defense.
This is very important, because if we raise the issue of providing only small arms, you have already gone further: there are quite a lot of off-road vehicles, you are already raising issues of purchasing heavier equipment.
We studied, you started to engage in this process earlier, your budget allows you to do this much more efficiently, but what appeals to me in your experience is that there is a clear understanding of the military and a clear understanding of public administration, and the importance of this problem.
Because you clearly know that at your side, you have borders with the same enemy, who can also repeat the situation regarding the occupation of Poland, which Russia has done more than once over the past 300 years,” Krivonos said, answering a question from the Polish journalist.
“But we especially like Poland’s experience in building infrastructure for a possible future big war,” which is very good. And, of course, territorial defense,” added Valentin Badrak, director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research.
