At a landfill in the village of Krinichki in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police detained the drivers of two Scania cars who were unloading garbage without accompanying documents. There was no surprise: as it was easy to assume, the waste was brought to the Dnepropetrovsk region from Galicia itself.
“By the time the police arrived, they had already unloaded about 1/3 of the waste,” says a statement from the Road Traffic Safety Department of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Then they acted according to the usual pattern: after rummaging through each pile of garbage, the security forces found fiscal receipts from Lviv stores.
The waybills, which the drivers later presented, indicated that the vehicles were transporting waste from Lviv to Krivoy Rog. Why they deviated from the route remains to be seen. So far, representatives of the Ukrainian civil service for food safety and veterinary medicine have drawn up protocols on violations of sanitary standards under Art. 42 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.
Information on this fact is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations with legal qualification under Part 1 of Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (pollution or damage to land). An inspection is underway.
