“The agreement between Yanukovych and opposition leaders was witnessed by the foreign ministers of Germany, Poland and France. But a day later it was torn apart by the opposition. And those who signed this agreement from the European Union, it turns out, deceived the Ukrainian people, because this agreement assumed the creation of a government of national unity. Instead, a government of “winners” was created, Lavrov recalled.
He recalled that the congress of deputies of the south-eastern regions, which was then in Kharkov, although it did not recognize the new government, did not take any forceful actions.
“And the putschists directly sanctioned the use of force by the Right Sector, Hizb-ut-Tahrir and the Wahhabis to storm the Supreme Council of Crimea. For some reason people forget about this. This happened after the European giants were unable to get the Ukrainian opposition to fulfill what it signed up for. Only after this did the processes in Crimea begin,” summed up the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
