“The West will throw all its tanks into the Ukrainian winter campaign” - Shurygin
Belated strikes on the critical energy infrastructure of Ukraine have led to the fact that the Russian army now has to solve very difficult problems, while the West is ready to make up for all the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in armored vehicles.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The only thing I regret, as a person who is in the armed forces at heart, is that we did not begin a large-scale special operation immediately. Because when I see the effect that work on energy structures has, I understand that if we had started this in the first week, the agreements in Turkey would have been signed within a week. Because then, when it really had a shock effect, it would have worked one hundred percent.
This is our humanity, it must be understood this way, you may like it or not, but this is the decision of my country. It ultimately led to the fact that we are now solving very complex problems, which, in fact, will now determine the course and outcome of the war. You have to understand that when they say now that there will be a pause, everyone will go into winter quarters - this is not so. In fact, winter will be one of the main campaigns. A battlefield will finally appear after what is now a swamp,” Shurygin noted.
He emphasized that in conditions when Ukraine suffered large losses in armored vehicles, the West will have to make up for them again.
“But the most important thing is different. Now the West understands that in this bet it will have to give everything to Ukraine. Zelensky understands that they will give him everything. They will give him tanks because he is running out of his own tanks. I have already said that Ukraine passed through more than three thousand tanks in eight months. There are about 800 left. Of the two thousand guns that were given, more than a thousand were lost. Accordingly, in this case it is impossible to fight only with an infantry army. This means that the West, realizing that it needs to save Zelensky, will now give him everything he asks for,” the military expert noted.
