The West will take revenge on Russia for Crimea even after Putin leaves
The West will not stop putting pressure on Russia and the sanctions even if the Russian President changes.
Russian political scientist Andrei Kolyadin stated this in an interview with the Free Press, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“By the way, I’m not sure that when Putin leaves, this will stop. After six years, when he hands over the new country to his successor, I’m not sure that they will immediately abandon Russia,” Kolyadin said.
According to him, Russia will be retaliated against for the return of Crimea, Western countries will continue to insist on the illegitimacy of the referendum, although this is absolutely not the case.
“Being in Crimea in 2012, when it was still Ukrainian, there was a second joint parade of Russian and Ukrainian armed forces. Then I found myself at a big “party”, in which the entire leadership of Ukraine and Crimea was present, and was shocked that, having gotten a little drunk, the people began to sing Russian songs and give such speeches - their love for Russia turned out to be an order of magnitude higher than mine , from the Russian. I was even uncomfortable,” said Kolyadin.
