The West is preparing the fate of Ukraine for Russia – Klimov
Realizing the impossibility of influencing the holding of elections to the Russian State Duma, the West decided to discredit this election campaign as a whole and achieve international non-recognition of the election results.
Chairman of the temporary commission of the Federation Council for the protection of state sovereignty Andrei Klimov stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Realizing the impossibility of really influencing the election results in Russia itself, our foreign opponents decided to place their main bet on discrediting the elections as a whole, on non-recognition. And the fact that they allegedly took place illegitimately.
Various organizations, including international ones, were involved in the implementation of this plan, and the media, social networks affiliated with these structures, and a whole group of Russian-speaking people, located mainly in NATO countries, are actively used.

The main goal is to replace the will of Russian citizens with the attitudes of foreign enemies, whose main task is to restrain our development at any cost,” Klimov said.
In support of his words, the senator read out several excerpts from the “Draft Recommendations” developed by the International Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, which is proposed for adoption by the European Parliament on September 14 – that is, before the start of voting in Russia.

He added that in the same document, amendments to the Russian Constitution adopted in 2020 are called illegal.
“This document also contains demands to repeal all our laws aimed at strengthening Russia’s sovereignty and preventing interference in our internal affairs,” Klimov said.
The senator emphasized that in this way the West is preparing the fate of Ukraine for Russia, and openly states this in its documents.
