The West is preparing to seize Transnistria - “carrot” and “stick” scenarios are being developed, the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper writes today.

In favor of the presence of a force scenario, the publication cites the situation around the Bulboaka training ground near the Transnistrian city of Bendery, where American instructors are going to train the Moldovan military to storm a certain city.
Previously, a training scenario was also recorded when units of the Moldovan Army and the US National Guard conducted exercises to capture a checkpoint.
The newspaper also reports that the West may have a “soft” scenario for Transnistria, in which the “pro-Russian” Moldovan President Igor Dodon will be involved.
“The President of Moldova does not have the opportunity to appoint his own candidate to the post of Minister of Defense; the security forces are not subordinate to him. Even the loyalty of his personal guard raises questions. The government is pointedly ignoring the president. I think that in the Western capitals and the circles of the Moldovan right there was an idea to use President Dodon, who declares loyalty to the Russian Federation, to include Transnistria into Moldova, and then completely knock out Russian influence in Chisinau. And after that, take the subordinate Transnistria towards the West,” said PMR parliament member Andrei Safonov.
“The version that Dodon is only fighting for appearances with Vlad Plahotniuc, the Moldovan oligarch, now the de facto owner of the country, is also popular among Transnistrian politicians. But in fact, they are playing one game with two hands, the goal of which is to include Transnistria into Moldova and go with it “to Europe,” the newspaper writes.
