The West used Nord Stream 2 against Ukraine
Statements that the West will not allow Nord Stream 2 are nothing more than empty words, since this promise was given to the United States as a bargaining chip before negotiations with President Putin.
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov stated this during the “60 Minutes” program, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let Parubiy not worry either. Let's remember the times when the Cold War could not prevent the gas pipeline that runs through Ukraine today. And the Ukrainians themselves should think: in fact, Nord Stream was used, among other things, as a weapon against Russia and in order to light this fire on the territory of Ukraine. If you remember the negotiations on the first and second Stream, on the Blue Stream, they have been going on for a long time, and with that same President George W. Bush.
The fact that an end has been put in this regard today is just an exchange, and America too, especially before negotiations with Putin, which is important for us,” Kalashnikov noted.
