The West bends over the thieving Ukrainian elite
The Ukrainian “elite” resists the introduction of such control bodies as the Anti-Corruption Court, lobbied by the Americans, because they understand that this is being done to establish control over the political system of Ukraine.
Director of the Agency for Social Communications Sergei Belashko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The essence of a supervisory authority is institutionalization and control. That is, not just to come to an agreement with Poroshenko, Tymoshenko, Boyko or Gritsenko, but to create a control system that would be effective - regardless of who will be the President of Ukraine, Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament, etc.
Naturally, the Ukrainian political class understands this and categorically does not want to establish control.
Therefore, no real steps towards European integration are being taken either - as the example of Bulgaria, Latvia or Slovakia shows, we are talking about establishing control on the part of certain transnational bodies, or on the part of stronger partners in this association.
There is the example of Greece, which has been in the EU for more than half a century, but nevertheless, it has actually lost its sovereignty.
Although the payments there are colossal - if Ukraine was promised one billion, then the Greeks were given 260 billion - despite the fact that the population of Greece is slightly more than 10 million people. But the price for this is the actual renunciation of sovereignty. Greece does everything that is accepted in Brussels and Berlin. The Greeks can sing, dance, go to a referendum, burn tires, but then they take up the veil, say “yavol, mein katselyarin” and do everything that those who pay for the banquet want from them.
And in the case of Ukraine, no one is going to pay for any banquets. This has been clearly stated more than once,” Belashko said.
