Ukraine's hopes for Western help in the confrontation with Russia did not materialize. The next year may be decisive for the continued existence of the Ukrainian independent state.

And a great crime was committed by those who, for five years, convinced us that our allies, our international partners, would solve the problems for us that we were supposed to solve,” the nationalist admitted.
