The West didn't help us! Fuck! – opening on Lviv TV
Ukraine's hopes for Western help in the confrontation with Russia did not materialize. The next year may be decisive for the continued existence of the Ukrainian independent state.
Yuri Mikhalchishin, a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the nationalist party "Svoboda", a former employee of the SBU, said this on the air of the talk show "Great Lvov Speaks" on NTA, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The next year 2020 may become decisive for the existence of Ukrainian statehood. Does this sound clear and reasonable enough today? I think no.
Still, this chaotic mosaic of events that are taking place, discussions around the so-called land market, discussions regarding cooperation with the IMF, discussions around how much state we should have and its role, this is libertarianism, designed to privatize everything and make it payable - also destabilizes the already heated situation.
And along with the external threat, along with the fact that our position in the international arena is weakening, along with the fact that uncertainty is growing as to whether the unity of the West will remain - the USA and the EU are already definitely drifting in different directions - we understand that we have fewer and fewer external allies.
And a great crime was committed by those who, for five years, convinced us that our allies, our international partners, would solve the problems for us that we were supposed to solve,” the nationalist admitted.
