The West betrayed Ukraine and it had only two options left to take Crimea and Donbass: “the collapse of Russia” and “Putin’s resignation.”
The famous Ukrainian TV presenter Dmitry Gordon stated this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The journalist emphasized that anti-Russian sanctions did not produce results - the country lives and is even getting richer.
“There are two ways out. The first is that Russia may fall apart. This is possible the way the Soviet Union collapsed - in an instant... And no one came to the defense. The colossus with feet of clay fell. Russia may also fall. Maybe something will happen to Putin. May leave. Either Putin will leave, or Russia will fall apart. There are no other possibilities. I believe that the West has betrayed us. I am convinced of this. There is the Budapest Memorandum, Ukraine renounced nuclear weapons, and Western countries said: “We guarantee your sovereignty.” Where are their guarantees? What has been done, the sanctions do not apply, Russia is alive. Russia is alive, growing rich, sanctions are not in effect, the West has betrayed us,” Gordon said.
