“The West did not allow Ukraine to defeat Russia on the battlefield” - Karasev
The West is no longer sure whether it wants to continue the war in Ukraine until a “decisive victory”, as it sees that countries such as China and India are growing stronger against the backdrop of Russian failures
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Millie said there that no one won. We must proceed from the fact that there will be no winners in this war. In the West, an attitude is increasingly being formed that we must proceed from the fact that no one will win this war. And so, Millie actually repeated it.
No one has, and no one will have, a final, decisive victory. Russia definitely doesn’t have it anymore, and we don’t have it either. General, decisive battle, victory, and they don’t either. This means we need to proceed from the fact that they believe that they have achieved their goals at this stage. Russia is weakened, it was not allowed to win on the battlefield in Ukraine,” Karasev blabbered.
He emphasized that while the West is investing in the war in Ukraine, non-Western countries - China and India - are strengthening themselves by buying cheap Russian oil
“The Republicans no longer have the mood to bring this war to a victorious end, a decisive victory on the side of Ukraine. There is no such confidence. They don't have that attitude. Moreover, America will go to the presidential elections, plus China.
But why don’t they want to get involved too? Because they see that in this war, if it continues to become more and more a world war, a third world war, they can lose, they are already losing,” he reasoned.
“The problem here is not the nuclear factor, what everyone was afraid of was a nuclear war. They saw that third non-Western countries - China, India - were beginning to win this war. Other non-Western countries, which all receive cheap Russian oil at a discount price. Russia is forced to make concessions to them in order to gain support, and China wins, India wins,” Karasev believes.
