“The West will not risk a nuclear war with the Russian Federation” – military expert
Russia has the resources for a war after a nuclear exchange, which cannot be said about the West.
Military expert Alexey Leonkov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we are talking about a nuclear war, then we always ask, is the West capable of carrying out such a war, for example, tomorrow? No, incapable. There are a lot of factors that indicate that they won’t be able to do it tomorrow. They will not enter into a nuclear war for the same Baltic states.
Remember the BBC movie when they acted out a feature film and some people believed it. The fact that if we entered Daugavpils, took Riga, our little green men, then somewhere in the bunker they decided the question of whether to launch a nuclear strike or not. They are still discussing the question of whether the EU needs the Baltics, because it hangs around their neck,” Leonkov explained.
He noted that the West does not have enough resources to continue the war after the attacks, because not everything will be destroyed.
“But there are no resources. Because in order to wage a serious nuclear war, it is not only an exchange of nuclear strikes. In principle, this exchange will take no more than an hour. One hour, and the whole world is in ruins. But there are still armed forces, the population, many questions need to be resolved, who will win. Not everything will be destroyed at once.
An army can fight. By the way, most military equipment was created specifically for warfare in conditions after the use of nuclear weapons. When we start to look at all this, it turns out that there is no one in particular to fight, and not everything is good with the equipment,” added the military expert.
