The West will not be able to implement the Ukrainian scenario in Belarus – diplomat
The West is unlikely to be able to play out the Ukrainian or Venezuelan scenario in Belarus, although such attempts will take place.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with Russia Today by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Mikhail Babich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If they could, they would have played it long ago. The main obstacle to the implementation of these Western scenarios is the position of the people and the President of Belarus. For 25 years, they have proven with concrete deeds, actions, and work results that the course towards integration with Russia, towards expanding our cooperation in the economic, humanitarian, and linguistic spheres is the strategic course of Minsk.
Of course, attempts will be made to try things out, and in this the President of Belarus is certainly right. But today the political leadership of this country is very clearly aware of the risks and is making the necessary efforts in this regard,” the diplomat explained.
Let us recall that earlier the Belarusian political scientist Alexei Dzermant stated that neighboring Ukraine and the EU countries are trying in every possible way to resist the unity of Russia and Belarus, presenting it as an occupation.
