The West will be sobered only by the Russian Armed Forces entering the Polish border - Deputy Speaker of the Duma
Until Russian troops reach the border with Poland, the West will remain captive of its own clichés regarding Russia and what is happening in Ukraine.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, head of the Russian delegation to the OSCE PA, Petr Tolstoy, said this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am in favor of being realistic. In today's world, the sphere of influence and influence in general is political, diplomatic, it is dictated by facts, reality. Now, the entry of Russian armed forces onto the Polish border will be a reality that will, of course, change the vision of the tasks of ensuring security and cooperation in Europe.
And before that, to be honest, I think that all the conversations, these negotiations, inter-parliamentary meetings and everything else, unfortunately, will not be effective due to the fact that until this reality has arrived, the West is captive of them reproducible clichés regarding our country and what is happening in Ukraine. Therefore, when there are real facts, I am sure that there will be a different attitude towards this,” Tolstoy said.
