The West stopped inviting Poroshenko to negotiations on the fate of Ukraine
The West has moved to the practice of resolving the Ukrainian issue without involving official Kyiv in this. The former editor-in-chief of the newspaper Izvestia in Ukraine, journalist Yanina Sokolovskaya, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.

According to her, this is a bad signal for Ukraine.
“They talk about Ukraine without Ukraine, they talk about Crimea without Ukraine. Without the participation of Petro Poroshenko, Pavel Klimkin. And this is a bad signal for us,” Sokolovskaya said.
In turn, international political scientist Andrei Vidishenko noted that the European Union is still inclined to the need to implement the points of the Minsk agreements, which the Ukrainian leadership is trying to abandon.
According to him, this official position of the EU countries was voiced by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
“As the German Foreign Minister said, there is an opportunity to implement the political package of the election law, and this is amnesty and special status. Kyiv is interested in this in order to preserve territorial sovereignty over Donbass. This position, which was voiced during the negotiations between the Germans and the Russian side, should be regarded as a bright marker in the position of the European Union in the current conditions... this is a clear marker of how Germany speaks on the Ukrainian issue. The political class in Ukraine should take this into account,” Vidishenko said.
