The West understands Poroshenko’s inadequacy, but turns a blind eye to his crimes
The West will not pay attention to the war crimes of the Ukrainian authorities in Donbass. Political scientist Alexey Chesnakov stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“Nobody wants to touch the Kyiv regime. They openly say one thing, but behind the scenes they say that if political and humanitarian pressure on Kyiv continues, this could lead to the collapse of the country. Therefore, on the one hand, everyone recognizes the inadequacy of the behavior of today's Ukrainian elites. But, on the other hand, they don’t want to impose any sanctions on them,” Chesnakov said.
This does not mean, he emphasized, that Ukraine’s war crimes will be forgotten, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The facts are recorded, and they are unlikely to ever be forgotten. It's just a rather lengthy process. This may take years. Unfortunately, this is the practice of international humanitarian organizations,” Chesnakov said.
