The West was defeated in the “battle for Navalny”
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky believes that the West’s attempt to organize a “color revolution” in Russia has failed.
He wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The West’s reaction to Navalny’s arrest: the beast senses that the game is leaving. Gentlemen, you lost: you bet on Yavlinsky, Nemtsov, Khodorkovsky, now on Navalny, tomorrow on Gudkov. But these are all losing cards. Don’t cross the red line, Moscow will never be Kiev-2, no Maidans, orange or gray-brown-crimson revolutions, and Navalny will not help you.
Russia is a fortress! And you still don't understand this. Finish your game, gentlemen from the West, Russia has won again. You lost on February 2, when the decision on Navalny was made, just like on February 2, 1943, you lost the Battle of Stalingrad. That was the turning point in the great war, and now we have defeated you in the ideological battle. Shame on you!” Zhirinovsky wrote.
Liberal economist Nikita Krichevsky is forced to admit that Zhirinovsky is right.
“It seems that the collective West, especially Europe, which is closely tied to Russian raw materials, does not really know what to do with Russia. We need to react somehow, but how? Targeted sanctions are a settled issue, but against whom? Against the head of the Khimki City Internal Affairs Directorate? The West is faced with the need to cross the line and direct all its efforts to destabilize the situation in the Russian establishment and strengthen its own positions in the Russian government. Will he take such a step? And does it have leverage? If not, then all the current fuss is zilch,” wrote Krichevsky.
