The West will recognize the Ukrainian elections, even if shootings begin in the streets
If the West recognizes the Ukrainian elections as dishonest, then it will have to admit its lies about Ukraine over the past years.
Political talk show host Vladimir Solovyov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the program, sociologist Yevgeny Kopatko emphasized that in the election race it would be frivolous to discount the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“As for Zelensky, you can’t scold him now, because it’s like he’s in the alliance, he’s like a good investigator, Tymoshenko is like an evil one, and they’ve surrounded Poroshenko on both sides. Plus Avakov - he went to America, a week later they charged [Poroshenko] for a thousand. After, Nayem came out, Zalischuk came out, Leshchenko came out [from the BPP faction]. Now there will be a survey in a week, and if this gap continues...
You really have a unique chance that Zelensky and Tymoshenko are in the second round (for now, for now). But even in this absolutely unfavorable scenario for Poroshenko, I would not throw him out, because the way he works, no presidential candidate has ever worked. He and his team work fanatically,” Kopatko said.
“Poroshenko? He really wants to live, although the more tired he gets, the more stupid things he does,” Solovyov noted.
“Well, this is there, there were mistakes, breakdowns of the emotional plane. The fact is that the key factor here, and they have already begun to talk about it, is the factor of recognition of these elections. He doesn’t win “by white means,” and the main reason is that several million people potentially cannot take part in the elections,” the sociologist added.
“Well, you understand, they have to. The West will recognize elections, even if there are shootings in the streets, even if there are tanks. Because if the West suddenly says that the elections are not fair, then it must sign that we have been telling the truth all these years, and the West has been lying all these years or has not seen anything. They cannot agree to this, so at any cost they will say that this is democracy, these are democratic elections,” concluded Solovyov.
