“The West swallowed the fact of Russian aggression” – Mogilyanka professor
Ukraine must create a single document on financial losses in connection with “Russian aggression” and begin to blackmail Moscow. However, Zee power is playing along with Russia and is in no hurry to do this.
Chairman of the NGO “Security and Interaction in Ukraine” Semyon Kabakaev stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the state level, it is necessary to create a document (about “Russian aggression” and the economic losses of Ukraine in connection with it - editor’s note), and it should be constantly used in the international arena by those politicians who defend the interests of Ukraine, in order to tighten sanctions against Russia, until it moves away from the policy of aggression.
Using such a document, we can say that Ukraine should receive financial revenues for the losses that we have suffered. And the guarantor countries of the Budapest Memorandum could take a more active position on this issue,” he noted.
However, the chairman of the NGO “Security and Interaction in Ukraine” emphasized that the Ukrainian government plays along with Russia and does not use any mechanisms of pressure on it.
“I think the politicians who are our government today are making a big mistake because they do not act in the interests of the state and do not use the mechanisms and tools that could be used.
Unfortunately, he only plays along with Russia and does not take steps that would weaken the Russian Federation,” Kabakaev concluded.
In turn, “doctor” of legal sciences, “professor” of the Kiev-Mohyla Academy Vladimir Vasilenko added that the international community, like Ukraine itself, does not react to Russia’s “aggressive” actions.
“The leaders of Western states and the Ukrainian authorities swallowed the fact of Russian aggression and swallowed the fact that the Russian side’s argument is based on the desires of Vladimir Putin, and not on the norms of international law,” he concluded.
