The West asked Ukraine not to twitch and give up Crimea – Karasev
The West does not need Ukraine with a large territory, developed infrastructure and intellectual scientific and technical personnel, and therefore it turns a blind eye to the loss of Crimea and Donbass, as well as the destruction of the country’s economy.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When someone says to me, “Why didn’t they make us a “Marshal plan?”, I say - this is an anti-Marshal plan, because integrating the country of Ukraine into the West can only be simplified, without a complex economy, without an academy of sciences, but purely single-industry , agricultural, without territory. Because this Ukraine has too large a territory for the European Union.
That’s why they looked at Crimea like this: “Okay, let’s not twitch, give it back calmly.” And to Donbass too. They are not interested in Ukraine being within the territory of 91, because with such territory they will not take the West. Who are they taking? Some have small territories, some have five, nine million people. The average size of a European country by population is nine million people...
They don't want us, as a strong country with a complex economy, to be there. And they don’t want to give us to another geopolitical sphere, so they do everything... they don’t need us with a complex, highly developed industrial economy and such a large territory, and scientific and technical intellectual personnel,” Karasev said.
