“The West is simply waiting for Ukraine to collapse due to natural processes”
The absence of world leaders at the parade on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of independence in Kyiv is not accidental; today Ukraine does not represent a success story, but, on the contrary, an example of the failure that the Euromaidan turned out to be.
Ukrainian politician Vasily Volga, leader of the Union of Left Forces party, told PolitNavigator about this.

“Not so long ago, the papal nuncio explained on Vatican Radio what the current attitude of Europe, and indeed the whole world, is towards Ukraine. He stated that Ukraine, in political, religious, and cultural life, has become very unfashionable and unconvenient for European politicians, public and religious figures. Talking about Ukraine is talking about failure. A failure that European and world politicians are related to. Therefore, many seek to silence their contacts with Ukraine and, even more so, avoid appearing at parades.
In addition, European politicians are experienced people... They are now thinking about how to make sure that their political career is not affected by the fact that they once took part in the collapse of Ukraine.
They no longer want anything from the current Ukrainian government. In any case, I got this impression from conversations with our colleagues in the European Parliament, with whom we discussed the situation in Ukraine. They don’t even want to talk about it, it already annoys them.
Therefore, the “marker” that the Vatican placed in Ukraine clearly defined this attitude. And every European politician, especially in Catholic countries, seriously listens to this opinion...
