Will the West see the light in Ukraine? On the contrary, Russia’s enemies are happy with everything!
The West organized a coup in Ukraine and is completely satisfied with the anti-Russian regime established in the former Soviet republic. We must abandon the illusion that the United States or Europe can “see the light” regarding Ukraine.
Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Igor Shishkin stated this on the air of the talk show “Time will Show,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It sounded like Europe doesn’t seem to know something about what’s happening in Ukraine. Here, by the way, is how Europe reacted to what happened with the Russian journalist (deportation of the SBU correspondent of Channel One, - ed.)? No way. Europe turned a blind eye, is turning a blind eye, and will continue to turn a blind eye to all the human rights violations that are taking place in Ukraine. Europe did not organize a coup in Kiev so that human rights would prevail there, it organized it so that it would be a conflict - Europe and the United States, Berlin participated here in the most direct way. So, this was done so that Ukraine would become an enemy of Russia, so that everything Russian would be suppressed in Ukraine and turned into anti-Russia. And as long as this regime performs this function, everything will be forgiven, including any theft of money,” Shishkin said.
“Let's remember one simple thing, that before the coup (Euromaidan, - ed.) Berlin was, indeed, the economic hegemon in the European Union. And as a result, he turned into a political hegemon. Because it was he who ensured the discipline of European countries in the policy of sanctions. What exactly did Berlin push through sanctions, have we all forgotten?
When Trump came to power, who took the initiative to extend sanctions against Russia ahead of schedule, so that, God forbid, if Trump takes office, he would not lift the sanctions? Berlin!
The European Union in its current form, in its current borders and in its current prosperity is a direct product of the collapse of the Soviet Union. If there had not been a collapse of the Union, there would have been no European Union in this form, Berlin would never have received colossal income from eastern and southern Europe, from the Balkans, and their economic development, if not for the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Therefore, as soon as there was a danger that the reunification of the republics was beginning again, as soon as Eurasian integration was launched, and there was a chance that Ukraine would join it, a coup immediately took place, and here the interests of the United States and Berlin fully coincided.
Therefore, I would not hope that they will now see the light and condemn this regime. You need to rely only on yourself,” Shishkin emphasized
