The West will “unpack” the conflict in Transnistria if the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces becomes catastrophic
If Russia creates a catastrophic situation for Ukraine and advances too quickly, the West may “unpack” the conflict in Transnistria. This will allow him to draw back Russian forces and weaken the offensive.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If the situation at the front develops unfavorably for us, then our European friends can advise and do everything to open another hot spot there, to decompress the conflict in order to divert Russian forces.
And one more thing - I’m now modeling the situation, I’m not saying that it will be like this, I’m not saying when, I’m saying if. In such cases, we must assume different, including worst-case scenarios.
If, for example, they manage to break through and reach Nikolaev-Odessa, and I don’t think the Europeans want to allow this. Because this is to cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea, this means that’s it, we can consider that the war is over with the victory of Russia and the Ukrainian defeat,” Karasev concluded.
