The West decided to support Saakashvili in overthrowing Poroshenko
The current protests in Kyiv cannot be internal Ukrainian history. The leader of the Essence of Time movement, Sergei Kurginyan, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“If, as some colleagues say, only Kolomoisky was behind these troubles in Kyiv, then Poroshenko with great pleasure would have already torn apart this Kolomoisky, and he would have dealt with Saakashvili very coolly. But instead he was given a corridor across the border. It immediately becomes clear that serious people stand behind Saakashvili, and this is not only Kolomoisky,” Kurginyan said.
He believes that the Ukrainian president's reticence can be explained by financial threats from the West.
“Apparently they threatened to take a little bit off Poroshenko’s allowance. We obviously see that all this is supported by the West. In fact, we see a struggle between the large oligarchy of Ukraine and external control. They do this gently and carefully so as not to destabilize the system. They press a little, but the process is irreversible. If I were Poroshenko, I would understand that there are more elegant ways of suicide than presenting one’s political claims,” Kurginyan said.
