The West miserably failed all the tasks of the Maidan in Ukraine
The change in the course of US and EU foreign policy over the past four years indicates that all the West’s plans to weaken Russia in the Ukrainian direction have failed.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All the conditions that existed when the Maidan regime collapsed in Ukraine have changed today. No US policy. Minor officials at Giuliani's level are trying to play and fish in troubled Ukrainian waters, starting with the former US vice president. The American president does not know why the hell he surrendered to this Ukraine, where it fits into the national interests of the United States. Trump's position remains unchanged. Another thing is how much he governs the country and can carry out his policies, but this is not the topic now.
The main goal of the Maidanization of Ukraine is to deal a fatal blow to Russia by taking Ukraine and moving the American fleet and bases to Rostov. It all collapsed. All plans are exactly the opposite: Russia today is much stronger both in this region and in the world than it was wanted and what the policy in Ukraine was directed against,” said Kedmi.
According to the expert, the situation in the EU is no less deplorable.
“What Europe, where is this Europe that was four years ago, what is left of it? The strongest woman or the strongest man in Europe, Frau Merkel, is leaving the political arena. She declared last week: "Europe's main enemies are China, Russia and the United States." We made it! That is, Europe today is on the defensive, as the mother and father of a united Europe, Merkel, said.
True, with regard to Russia, she said that the whole danger is that Russia interferes in the European choice. In relation to China, this is economics and dependence, in relation to the United States, they are depriving Europe of independence, and Russia’s whole sin in relation to Europe is interference in elections – Brexit, Barcelona, and so on. That is, today Europe is no longer interested in Ukraine,” Kedmi added.
