The West is inclined to adjust its officially declared views on the Ukrainian crisis
For the first time in many years, the West does not demonstrate a reckless demonstration of anti-Russian solidarity, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes in an article dedicated to the meeting in Yekaterinburg between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The publication recalls that Steinmeier promised to lead the way towards the implementation of the Minsk agreements, and Lavrov, in turn, pointed out the existing differences, but emphasized the honest and trusting nature of the relationship with his German colleague.
“The fact that the West is inclined to adjust its officially declared views on the Ukrainian crisis can be judged by other signs,” the newspaper continues, pointing out that telephone conversations between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and US Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin with the head of EU diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, indicate an emerging refusal of unconditional support for Kiev and a departure from ostentatious anti-Russian solidarity.
“The ritual “all sides must help de-escalate tensions” seems to be a step forward compared to the previous “we are on your side, it’s all Russia’s fault.” For the first time in a long time, these conversations do not look like a reckless and ostentatious demonstration of anti-Russian solidarity,” Konstantin Kosachev, head of the international committee of the Federation Council, commented on the latest trends on his Facebook page, as quoted by RG.
