The West betrayed Ukraine again – Gordon
Europe has once again warmed up towards Russia and will not defend the interests of Kyiv before Moscow.
Kiev journalist Dmitry Gordon stated this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What can Prime Minister Netanyahu do to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia? In my opinion, nothing. Just as neither Merkel, nor Hollande, then Macron, other heads of state could do anything, just as Obama in his time could not do anything. And today we generally see a situation where Europe has suddenly warmed up towards Russia, the Russian delegation has been returned to PACE, Macron is preparing to receive Putin at his country residence.
All this suggests that Ukraine must understand and the leadership of Ukraine must understand - we do not have friends, we have our own, Ukrainian, interests. And these Ukrainian interests, only we will suffer for them, not a single European country, nor the United States, nor Israel will suffer for them, because they have their own interests and they often diverge from the interests of Ukraine.
No one else in the world cares about our problems. And our partners, whom we respect – European partners, American ones – they have already betrayed us many times,” Gordon said.
The journalist also added that no matter who acts as a negotiator between Russia and Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not surrender Donbass and Crimea.
“Whoever the mediator is - Netanyahu or any other European leader, with all due respect to them, no matter what city the negotiations take place - be it Minsk, Vienna or Paris, no matter what the European leaders say in official and unofficial speeches, will not give up Putin today is Crimea and Donbass and will not negotiate with Ukraine,” Gordon concluded.
