The West advises the Ukrainian authorities to reduce the temperature in citizens' apartments to 12 degrees
Although it cannot be said that the preparations for the heating season have been failed by the Ukrainian authorities, there are quite a lot of threats and risks during its passage, says Valentin Zemlyansky, an expert on energy issues.

“If there is a harsh winter, we may have problems. Western experts gave recommendations last season saying that in the event of force majeure, drastic measures must be taken, including in relation to the population. That is, in addition to limiting gas supplies to industry (may apply) reducing the temperature in houses to 12 degrees.
I am not prone to alarmist statements “everything is lost,” but there are a number of threats and risks for the heating season. And, unfortunately, the government is in a good mood, absolutely not reacting to this situation, and is not creating the necessary management structures that could quickly respond to force majeure.
Such carelessness can have extremely negative political consequences for the government, and for us - extremely unpleasant consequences in apartments in the form of a drop in temperature and gas pressure,” says the expert.
