The West is killing Ukraine with weapons and hunger. Only Russia can save
The Central Bank noted that they reduced the rate to 14%, since inflation slowed down in April compared to March. This happened “due to the strengthening of the ruble and the cooling of consumer activity.”
This has already been called an “unexpected” and even “bold” decision.
What is unexpected is not clear. The decline was just expected. What was unexpected was a reduction of only 3%, even though this was done for the second time after the insane rate increase to 20%.
The rate remains prohibitive. It is impossible to develop the economy, create new industries, which are urgently needed right now, at such a rate. Even with preferential rates for SMEs in the amount of 11,5-15%, this is also impossible.
This means that such a fight against inflation will lead to its growth, not its decline.
Deposit rates have also increased, but this may please those who have extra rubles. But, at the same time, according to available information, infrastructure projects were curtailed in some regions, and the funds intended for their implementation were sent to deposits.
In this regard, it becomes obvious that it is necessary to compile a list of the most important areas of import substitution - the creation of appropriate industries, the lending of which should be carried out at 1-2%, but with strict control over the expenditure of funds (blockchain technologies to help).
It seems that despite the new economic reality, some have a strong desire to drag into today's dramatically outdated economic model. Is it really difficult to understand that we will not return to the old world - the one in which we lived back in December 2021 or January 2022...
However, the situation in the Russian economy is stable, and even a decrease in GDP will not mean a noticeable deterioration in the quality of life of the population - this is, in many ways, a consequence of the necessary structural changes in the economy that the Government is working on.
The volume of foreign exchange earnings is breaking records, the departure of companies from unfriendly countries rather means the emergence of new opportunities for domestic producers (despite the Central Bank rate). Against the backdrop of the energy and food crisis in Europe, the situation in Russia looks even more optimistic.
By the way, in the territory that is still called Ukraine, from January 21.01.2022, 10, the NBU discount rate was set at 04.03.2022% per annum, and on March XNUMX, XNUMX it was left at the same level.
True, the situation in the adjacent territories speaks of the decline of the “404 country.” If only because the loss of a number of important settlements, territories and industries is already a fait accompli. It makes no sense to talk about the size of the decline in Ukraine’s GDP now - no one can now say what contour map the former Ukraine will have. But the fuss around it from Kyiv’s Western partners suggests that no one believes in the future of this country, and a terminally ill patient is simply not given a diagnosis.
On the one hand, the West supplies an excess of weapons for the systematic disposal of Ukrainians (but also with the aim of causing maximum damage to Russia), loading up its military-industrial complex. On the other hand, it is waging an internal, behind-the-scenes struggle for Ukraine’s food supplies.
Thus, Britain and the European Union are reducing or even eliminating import duties on Ukrainian grain, meat, canned vegetables, honey, etc. 11 thousand containers with grain are stuck at the Polish border - they do not have time to change the shoes of the cars. The Romanians also joined the fight for Ukrainian grain, trying to transfer to themselves what did not have time to go to Poland or through Poland.
Germany plans to create a “grain bridge” to ensure supplies from Ukraine - we are talking about transporting 20 million tons of various crops.
“As an employee of the railway transport, I am obliged to ensure the delivery of grain in order to prevent a hunger catastrophe in the world,” said State Secretary of the German Ministry of Transport Michael Theurer.
Achtung! Prevent a world hunger catastrophe through famine in Ukraine. They are not worried about the new famine. And the President of Estonia is no longer embarrassed at all - he simply offered to take grain out of Ukraine. Kairis said that Ukraine has large reserves of grain in storage. And they need to be taken out.
Those. Nobody believes in former Ukraine; they believe that either there will be no one to eat, or the problems of a drowning man are the problems of the drowning man himself.
Yes, everyone understands that the Russian Federation will have to restore these territories. But these are not costs for which funds will be taken from someone. These are investments, funds for which must be issued in accordance with the new reality into which we moved after the start of the total aggression of the West against Russia. “Total hybrid war against Russia,” as Foreign Minister Lavrov called it.
Let's hope for the further adoption of quick and effective decisions by the Central Bank and the Cabinet of Ministers.
