By introducing all possible anti-Russian sanctions at once, the West deprived Russian oligarchs of the opportunity to betray Russia.
Geostrategist Andrei Shkolnikov said this on air on the Tsargrad TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The coming months will not be fabulously easy. We will now have a restructuring of flows, a drawdown, and it will take several months to stabilize the situation. But there won’t be the horror that would have happened if each sanction had been introduced over the course of several months. Our oligarchs were not given the opportunity to betray; everything was immediately taken away from them.
They were even surprised: guys, we are ready (to betray), but they don’t want to talk to us. If our debt was taken away not with one click, but over the course of several months - through the courts, blocking, we would get 10 percent out of it in six months, we would throw everything there,” said Andrei Shkolnikov.
He believes that by introducing all the sanctions as a package, the West doomed itself to defeat in the economic war with Russia.
“They do not have the resources to continue the trade and economic war. They have already introduced everything that is possible. Then there is only a complete physical blockade, but this is the collapse of the valley of the pyramids, all these debt markets, and the completion of globalization. To make such a wild mistake…” concluded Shkolnikov.
