“Western partners” are tired of ignoring cases of human rights violations by Ukraine against migrants from Donbass.

The Ukrainian people's deputy, ex-governor of the Donetsk region, oligarch Sergei Taruta, said this on the air of NewsOne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The politician emphasized that the Ukrainian government does not pay pensions to migrants from Donbass, while the Russian Federation pays benefits to refugees from the hot spot.

“In prison they pay a pension, in Russia they pay a pension to residents from Ukraine, but for some reason in the occupied territories this issue is not resolved. This is very cynical and in the eyes of international partners we look very discriminatory,” said the deputy.

The oligarch noted that it is the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko who does not want the residents of Donbass to have the right to vote, since they will not vote for him in the upcoming presidential elections.

“We are violating the conventions that we signed, international treaties with the Council of Europe, with the UN. We are constantly told about this - return the right to vote to one million 324 thousand - these are those who can vote. We have been trying for 4 years, and they are all sweeping it away. Who dismisses this? Our guarantor, who understands that they will not praise him and will not vote for him. Our Western partners see this cynical approach and can no longer remain silent,” says Sergei Taruta.

Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker said that Kyiv is not attentive enough to “compatriots” from the DPR and LPR.
