The protests in Belarus have shown that the “color revolution” technologies in this country are used very flexibly and competently.

UIAMP Director Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Pershiy Kozatsky TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Lukashenko retained control over the state, and protesters received the right to protest. Nevertheless, mass rallies unauthorized by the authorities are taking place today in Belarus, and the actions of security forces at them are limited. Then they try to catch someone, some individual figures...

Everything that happens in Belarus is unauthorized. Just yesterday it was difficult to imagine that such a massive unauthorized event was taking place. Some kind of political crack has appeared, from which there is a breeze, into which, under certain conditions, they can stick a leg, then a knee and beyond. The crisis persists, although in a more smoldering form; it no longer burns, but smolders.

The monolithic nature of the Belarusian power structures of management rests mainly on external factors, on external Russian-Chinese legitimization, so to speak. If it were not for this factor of external legitimation, most likely, this management model would have already fallen.

The level of sovereignty of Belarus will fall. Society remains angry, to a large extent, shaken up, and real opposition leaders are very technologically efficient in managing this process. We see how they show the maximum flexibility of the technology of color revolutions, which they know wonderfully. First there was an attempt to seize power by force, in the early days. She encountered effective forceful opposition to the authorities, sometimes beyond the bounds, sometimes below the necessary limit. Sometimes the pictures we see do not allow us to understand the whole moment.

After the failure of the forceful takeover, the opposition first turned to court protest. When the protest on the street began to break up, simply physically break up, she called for people to go out into the courtyards and into residential areas, and this protest took place for several days in the courtyards of residential areas. In fact, combat cells were created in residential courtyards. People became acquainted with each other, several thousand grassroots structures were created, poorly coordinated among themselves, but protest structures. They turned into mobile groups.

The bulk remained. They are poorly coordinated among themselves, it is very difficult to counteract them, they have no formal leaders. All this mass continued to be in the regions. When this also had no effect, it transformed into a strike. The strike failed. When this process failed, they reformatted it into a women’s protest; when the women’s protest began to fail, they are now transforming into a youth protest.

All this is reminiscent of a fire in the forest: they put it out there - the fire crawled under the grass, it broke out there, they put it out there - it crawled through, it smolders. Different social groups are trying to constantly rock it. It was possible to shake up some groups of humanitarian intelligentsia; they en masse went over to the side of Lukashenko’s opponents. It was not possible to shake up the situation with the elites, although this too was shaken up in different ways.

That is, they used the technologies of color revolutions very flexibly and very efficiently. This is one of the highest quality examples of an attempt to apply the technology of color revolutions in the world,” concluded Ruslan Bortnik.
