The billions of losses of Russian oligarchs after the introduction of a new package of Western sanctions is a sensitive blow to Moscow, bringing closer the restoration of Ukrainian control over the lost territories.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza writes about this in his blog.
“What is beyond the curb of the problem can further weaken Russia and bring closer the peace we want in the Donbass... American sanctions are collapsing the Russian economy and methodically destroying Erefia,” he wrote.
However, the Ukrainian deputy immediately admits that this blow is not fatal for Russia.
“The West has knocked out yet another teeth for the Russian bear, but it hasn’t died yet. Unfortunately. And our enemy, although weakened, is still alive,” Bereza laments.
