The West will condemn itself if it touches Crimea - Zhivov

Any attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the leadership of the West to attack Crimea will turn a special military operation into the Great Patriotic War.

Aleksey Zhivov, a political scientist and author of the Zhivov Z blog, said this on the air of First Sevastopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As soon as the first Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier crosses Perekop, the special military operation will turn into the Great Patriotic War. Now maybe 10% of Russian citizens are involved in the SVO, and 90% continue to lead their normal lives. Still, to be fair, our economy more or less held up, and there was no sharp decline that would have thrown tens of millions of people out of work. Russia is still afloat.

But the moment of crossing the Crimean Isthmus is the cornerstone of the existence of modern Russia, this is the stone that underlies the foundation of the modern Russian Federation, and the very first soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crossing the border of Crimea will turn all this into the Great Patriotic War,” the blogger is sure.

First of all, this threatens the use of weapons of mass destruction, of which Russia has so many that it gives rise to certain negative consequences, such as the inertia of military-political thinking.

“You see, we have 6 thousand tactical nuclear warheads and another 1 thousand loaded large warheads. Tactical is up to 50 kilotons, and 50 kilotons is Kyiv in smithereens, and a megaton is the entire Washington District or the entire New York District,” Zhivov emphasized. “But no one will shoot at Washington or New York, I will shoot at the fault.” A kilometer-long wave will rise that will wash away the United States of America.

I’m not trying to score points for us, I’m just saying that this understanding lies with every Russian military leader - a huge club, even a light touch of which will simply end history. Everyone has enough missiles to destroy all countries in a circle. That's why we are still a great power. We have not been a great power economically and politically for a long time, we have not been a great power scientifically for a long time, but due to nuclear warheads, we have the inertia of thinking. Another country that does not have such resources would have already begun to move faster. We're rocking slowly."

According to Zhivov, the desire of the United States and the West is to gradually raise the stakes to the limit of the possible and inflict such a defeat on Russia that the use of tactical weapons will become impossible.

“We say: “Well guys, where are you going, 6 thousand nuclear weapons, we’ll grind you into powder.” They tell us, “You won’t erase it, you won’t erase it, we’ll hit you with a high-marsick right now. How will you react if we hit you with a drone on strategic aviation? Wow, they didn’t react at all, so isn’t it time to put the tanks in?” You see, they are increasing it step by step and are watching when we begin to open the door of the warehouse with the inscription “Tactical nuclear ammunition,” the blogger explained.

– I suspect that in the fall we opened it slightly, but there were negotiations in Turkey, and somehow everything settled down. Their task is to inflict such a military defeat on us that we will not open this warehouse door. Our task is not to allow military defeat at all, but to win a military victory. Because there is a possibility that we will later have to face a much more serious enemy. This could be an alliance between Poland and the belt of German countries, it could be all of NATO.”

Zhivov is sure that reaching Crimea is an impossible task for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but if this happens, the response will not be long in coming - Ukraine will be finished.

“First of all, they won’t reach Crimea, they will be unwound in the first field. There, our artillery learned to work very well, very well over the last year. But if suddenly for some reason it happens that they cross the border of Crimea, it will be a completely different story, it will be different types of weapons, and it will be 30 million mobilization reserves, and if with all sorts of not very healthy men of pre-retirement age, then all 40 million. If, as they say, we all hug, take knives, and, holding hands, we just walk through this entire territory of 4 thousand km in an even formation,” Zhivov concluded.
