“The vehicle has a transmission and chassis layout that in the future will allow it to overcome water obstacles. It has centralized tire inflation, unlike the well-known Ukrainian-made armored vehicles “Cossack” and “Cougar”. This system allows one to overcome soft soils, sand, and swamps,” said Alexander Konik, a technologist at the Lviv Armored Plant, as quoted by the publication. "ZiK".
“We literally need a few more days. We will install the air and fuel systems. And that’s it – let’s go,” said repairman Miroslav Tuchak.
“The car accelerates to 120 km. The cabin will accommodate eight passengers and three crew members. Steel can even withstand a machine gun. The armored car itself will be equipped with a remote-controlled machine gun mount, color television and thermal imaging cameras, as well as a laser rangefinder,” the publication writes.
“The operator sits in front of the monitor with a joystick. If he finds an enemy, he will aim vertically, horizontally and to kill,” explained Alexander Konik.
Already in the spring, the Lvov Armored Plant wants to launch Dozory-B into mass production.
